I’m currently a co-PhD student at Iowa State University studying statistics and economics under Jarad Niemi and Gray Calhoun. I finished my MS in statistics at Iowa State in December, 2011 under Alyson Wilson and I have a BS in Mathematics and a BA in Philosophy from Lindenwood University.

I’m broadly interested in Bayesian inference and decision theory, game theory, and economics, though my research focuses on Bayesian statistics and applications to economics. I also write things occasionally on my blog and with some friends at our group blog, Carcinisation. I play Magic: the Gathering in my spare time and have even competed on the pro tour. I also like to watch baseball, occasionally hike and fish, and I wish that I had played paintball more than zero times over the last few years.
